<h2>1. About Us</h2>

<p>These terms apply to services provided by Clean Energy Heating Scotland Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (Companies House number SC875929). Registered address: 89 Middlesex Street, Glasgow, G41 1EE. Trading as Clean Energy Heating Scotland.</p>

<h2>2. Service Descriptions</h2>

<p>We provide heating engineering, plumbing, and renewable energy installation services including but not limited to: boiler installation and replacement, central heating system installation and upgrades, heat pump installation, annual boiler servicing, landlord gas safety certificates, and general plumbing works.</p>

<p>All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. All work complies with current Building Regulations and industry standards.</p>

<h2>3. Estimates and Quotes</h2>

<p>An estimate is an approximate figure for the cost of work based on information available at the time. A written quote is a fixed price for a specified scope of work. We will always make clear which you are receiving.</p>

<p>Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Quotes may be revised if the scope of work changes after the initial survey, or if unforeseen conditions are discovered during the work (for example, corroded pipework that must be replaced).</p>

<h2>4. Payment Terms</h2>

<p>Payment is due on completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. For larger projects, staged payments may be agreed in advance. We accept payment by bank transfer or cash. We do not currently accept card payments.</p>

<p>Late payment may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.</p>

<h2>5. Workmanship Guarantee</h2>

<p>We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee on all installation work. This covers defects arising from our installation workmanship. It does not cover: fair wear and tear, damage caused by misuse or neglect, issues arising from existing system problems not identified at the time of installation, or manufacturer defects (which are covered by the manufacturer's warranty).</p>

<p>Manufacturer warranties are separate from our workmanship guarantee and are subject to the manufacturer's own terms and conditions.</p>

<h2>6. Your Responsibilities</h2>

<p>You are responsible for: ensuring clear access to the work area, informing us of any known issues with your property or existing systems, ensuring someone over 18 is present during the works, and making payment as agreed.</p>

<h2>7. Liability</h2>

<p>Our liability to you is limited to the cost of the work carried out. We will not be liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.</p>

<p>We hold public liability insurance of £[PLACEHOLDER - confirm level with Allan] and employers' liability insurance as required by law.</p>

<h2>8. Cancellation</h2>

<p>You may cancel a booked appointment without charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a charge to cover engineer time and materials already ordered.</p>

<p>If we need to postpone a confirmed appointment due to circumstances outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to rebook.</p>

<h2>9. Disputes</h2>

<h2>10. Governing Law</h2>

<p>These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Any disputes not resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.</p>

<h2>11. Changes to These Terms</h2>

<p>We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on our website. Changes do not affect contracts already entered into.</p>
